Red Bull are notorious for being brutal with who they keep in the second seat within the main team.
Despite just renewing their current second driver, Sergio Perez, his performance has been incredibly lacking and with the competition being much closer this year, the points he is missing out on every race is putting them at risk of losing the constructors championship.

There has already been a lot of talk about replacing Perez over the past few weeks but after his crash during the first round of qualifying in Hungary this week, this seems like the most likely outcome. This is the the 6th time he has not made it to the final round of qualifying and the 4th time he's out within the first round.
Team Principal, Christian Horner, spoke to Viaplay after the session about Perez's future within the team:
" Any discussions we have with him will of course take place internally and not in front of the media. But of course, we cannot run on one leg."
Red Bull have never shied away from replacing a driver mid-season or for subpar performance, so this would not be a shock considering the lack of results Perez has been providing in a close season.
